Thirteen Housing piloted Project Lifestyle in the Northeast – a post-prison resettlement service. Our evaluation spoke with service users, staff, and stakeholders to understand how the pilot needed to evolve to support successful resettlement service development.

The Police, Crime and Sentencing (PCSC) Bill is one of the major pieces of recent legislation that has an opportunity to impact on the lives of those in the revolving door of crisis and crime. We aimed to influence two amendments to the PCSC Bill.

A new essay collection, kindly supported by Lankelly Chase, that explores the knots between poverty, trauma and multiple disadvantage and how we, as service providers, policymakers, researchers and people with lived experience, can better make sense of and start to untangle these knots.

Our new research shows that young adults and the wider public want to see police reform. Young adults want their health and human needs to be prioritised so that they do not unnecessarily get dragged into the criminal justice system.

staff from the Residential Women’s Centre team attended our Women’s Forum five times to consult members on the design of the Residential Women Centre (RWC) pilot in Wales. Members were consulted on topics including staffing, the presence of children at the centres and rules around substance use and move-on support.

We partnered with academics on two key research projects. We worked with Dr. Coral Sirdifield and Dr. Helen Nicholls, University of Lincoln, to better understand the impact of the pandemic on probation, and with Professor Jo Armes and Dr. Renske Visser, University of Surrey, to better understand the quality of cancer treatment in prisons.

Today the Police Foundation and Revolving Doors Agency launch a Knowledge Exchange Network that brings together police Inspectors and Chief Inspectors from across England and Wales to co-create new and better ways of policing young adults aged 18-25.

We are delighted to announce that Pavan Dhaliwal has been appointed as our new Chief Executive.

During lockdown, the National Expert Citizens Group (NECG) have been discussing and sharing how COVID-19 has improved services for people experiencing multiple disadvantage.

The NECG’s approach and priorities were developed between August and December 2019. They aim to capture the most important issues for people using Fulfilling Lives services. NECG members consulted their wider lived experience group to best ensure views are representative.

Throughout lockdown, we surveyed people that had a combination of regular contact with the justice system, combined with mental ill-health, substance use, domestic violence and/or homelessness.
