Tassie Weaver

Involvement Programme Coordinator

Tassie joins Revolving Doors as the Involvement Programme Coordinator on the Lived Experience Voices project with the National Expert Citizens Group (NECG) and the Office for Health Improvements and Disparities (OHID).

She has over a decade of experience in the homelessness, public health and justice sector, having started her career at St. Mungo’s and most recently spending seven years at Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM), where she is still an Associate. Alongside this and her freelance work, Tassie is also an Associate at Homeless Link and a Trustee at Basis Yorkshire, an organisation which offers support and advice to women and young people who are involved in sex work or at risk of sexual exploitation.

“It’s a real privilege to coordinate the Lived Experience Voices contract for so many reasons. Not only do I get to work with a brilliant team of peer researchers who have already taught me so much (and make me laugh every day), but we are also able to elevate the voices of people who are furthest away from getting the help they deserve. We are also doing the tricky but important work of exploring how lived experience can best influence and support the work of a central government department, which feels like pretty ground breaking work.”
