
Professor Karen Duke
Karen is Professor in Criminology and Co-Director of the Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at Middlesex University.
For over 30 years, she has specialised in research on drug use and the interfaces with the criminal justice system. She is one of the Editors-in-Chief of the journal, Drugs: Education, Prevention and Policy. She has published widely in the fields of drug policy, criminal justice, prisons, young people, drug treatment and prevention. She has conducted research and consultancy for the European Commission, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Home Office, Ministry of Justice, National Institute for Health Research, Department of Health, the former Central Drugs Co-ordination Unit (Cabinet Office) and the Royal Society for the Arts.
