Harriet Askham

Involvement Manager

Harriet is our Involvement Manager. She coordinates a number of our criminal justice projects, including our national and women’s lived experience forums, and the lived experience work with NHS England Health and Justice.

She holds a degree in Law and Criminology and has always had a strong passion for social and criminal justice. Before joining Revolving Doors she provided frontline support in the criminal justice sector, most recently delivering trauma-informed advocacy, and emotional and practical support to women impacted by the system.

Her role at Revolving Doors is to support our lived experience members with their well-being, progression and development in order to generate powerful and original insights, along with working with key partners to ensure that lived experience voices make a difference.

“After years of working on the frontline within the criminal justice sector and seeing how people are continuously failed by a broken system, I am pleased to be joining Revolving Doors and contributing to their mission of driving systems change.

I see my role as giving platforms to, and amplifying the voices of, those with lived experience so that policies, programmes, and services can be designed to best help people and break the cycle of crisis and crime. I am passionate about supporting our members to be the best they can be in order to drive change in the system.”
