The big change…and mine
In August, I completed a course on photo-film making and have been using this as a tool to share a part of my life story. I am now working on a photo-film project, which looks at the P3 service in Milton Keynes. This is very important to me, not only because it’s a valuable service, but because it was there that I started to get my life back on track. The Milton Keynes photo-film will be available to view online by mid-February.
Last October, Brett, Daniel, Angela and myself were invited to Westminster to sit with the Justice Committee as a panel of witnesses who have experience of being on probation – both good and bad. It was a bit daunting at first but we knew they were there to listen to us. Between the four of us, we spoke about offender and staff relationships, service user involvement and how women may have different experiences of the probation service.
